Neal Leggo, Geologist BSc (Hons) Geology, MAIG, MSEG Independent Geological Consultant – trading under Indeport Pty Ltd – based in Perth. Specialising in writing independent reports for mineral exploration companies and undertaking project appraisals. Authored over 20 independent reports (IGR and ITAR) for inclusion in the Prospectus of companies applying for listing on the ASX. Co-authored numerous Independent Technical Assessment and Valuation reports of Mineral Projects which were used by Independent Experts in determining if a transaction was in the best interests of associated shareholders. Over 35 years experience in minerals geology including senior management, consulting, exploration, development, underground mining and open pit mining. Extensive experience with a wide variety of commodities including gold, copper, iron ore, silver, lead, zinc, nickel, uranium, tin, lithium, vanadium, niobium, rare earths, mineral sand and manganese across numerous geological terrains within the Asia-Pacific region. Previously worked as a Principal Consultant at CSA Global for 3.5 years (2018-2021) and Ravensgate Mining Industry Consultants for 5.5 years (2012-2017); with both roles based in Perth undertaking a wide range of geological consulting assignments. From 2011 to 2012 worked for FMG leading a large field team undertaking fast-track exploration, delineation and feasibility study of Nydinghu – a major iron ore discovery in the Pilbara of WA. Previous to this was Exploration Manager at Crescent Gold – lead a successful exploration team and also managed feasibility study and development work on seven gold deposits in preparation for mining. At Hatch – undertook numerous geological consulting assignments included scoping, prefeasibility and review studies, geological audit and due diligence. At BHP – modelled mineral resources including the Cannington, Mt Whaleback and Yandi world-class deposits. Previous to this worked 8 years in Mt Isa for MIM where roles included chief geologist for the Hilton underground lead zinc mine and exploration manager for Isa District. During the 1980s worked as a field geologist across northern Australia on a wide variety of exploration projects and mines. Extensive knowledge of available geological, geophysical, geochemical and exploration techniques and methodologies, combined with strong experience in mineral resource estimation, feasibility study, development and mining of mineral deposits. Completed an Honours degree in Geology at the University of Queensland in 1980. Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). Holds the relevant qualifications and professional associations required by the JORC and VALMIN Codes to act as a Competent Person for the reporting of exploration results and mineral resources for a wide range of metals.
