The GSL Survey Mining point of difference GSL Mine Surveying department specialises in the promotion and incorporation of modern surveying practice and technologies to our client’s mine sites. We have been involved in the adaptation of aerial surveying and laser scanning technologies and specialise in upskilling the workforce we are involved in. This is particularly so for our team of sub-contract senior surveyor management staff. We have team members who specialise an each of the major mine software providers, which gives us the ability to adapt these technologies into our Clients existing workflows. Programming and workflow development is a common theme of each of the departments within GSL Group. We believe that the more our Clients can standardise their systems, the more that our group of programmers can automate client workflows and assist to create a working environment that can focus upon productivity. The Mine Survey Team Our team is made up of a diverse group of hard rock and open pit surveyors with significant experience in all aspects of the mining industry, from exploration phase right through to production. We have worked in some of the most challenging mining environments, both throughout Australia, and abroad, giving GSL Mine Survey a broad understanding of mine procedure and practice. While our mining workforce primarily provides sub contract management staff, it has always been the intention of GSL Survey to train and develop the next generation of Australian surveyors, who can carry the same solution driven passion that we have seen in the last 10 years of industry. Network coordination and maintenance GSL Mine survey specialise in conducting control and network audits and re-coordination. Our point of difference is our teams ability to combine GNSS and terrestrial observations into redundant, reliable network adjustments. This allows for clients to operate above and underground with confidence, inside of a common local network. We work with the biggest names in industry to create site control networks. Our networks are flexible and well planned, allowing our clients to take advantage of emergent technologies such as robotic and driverless plant, as well as drones and laser scanning technologies.
