Bio
Joe entered the mining industry in 1993, commencing studies at the Curtin University – Western Australian School of Mines, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology. He completed his Master of Engineering Science in Mining Geomechanics postgraduate degree in 2001. He gained domestic and international experience prior to launching Bastion Geotechnical in 2019. Notable achievements included the conception and maintenance of a world-class geotechnical data management system, completion of a number of geotechnical studies and provision of advice and training in geotechnical competencies. He is dedicated to the improvement of the discipline of geotechnical engineering and the holistic management of geotechnical risk.
